Missouri River - Kniefel Boat Launch, Burleigh County, ND
There are few things more exciting for us than to watch our small grassroots charitable organization, that was started on a kitchen table in rural North Dakota, expand into the capital county of the state. But that is exactly what happened. However, the story has a much more personal touch to it. This project came about not due to our marketing abilities. Not due to our media coverage. It all came to fruition due to a couple of County commissioners. Comissioners that understand exactly what it is like to be a father and a brother to someone in a wheelchair. Whether it be the love for his daughter, or the desire to fish with his disabled Veteran brother, these commissioners not only wanted something for their family, but for the community as a whole. On July 7th, 2025, the Burleigh County Commission unanimously approved access to the Kniefel Bot launch site in order to allow Wheelchairs & Walleyes to build and donate a project to their community.
So please, follow along with W&W as we change the national landscape of boating access one lake at a time. We encourage you to get involved with this project. Volunteer your time. Donate today! Because without you, this will not be possible.
This project is slated for September 2025, so hold onto your hats! This is going to come together quickly!

Sponsors
Wheelchairs & Walleyes believes that it is critical that community based donations are directed towards the project in their own backyard. Businesses, famlies, government entities, and charitable organizations have a greater sense of pride in the project when their contributions go towards the projects themselves, rather than organizational costs. In order for this to be acheived, our select corporate partners play a critical role. Without you, there is no us. Without us, there is no ADA ramp project. Your contribution into our organization is a direct investment into the communities your products and services support, including every one of our projects throughout the country.
