Making Fishing Accessible for Everyone

Hazen Bay, ND Campground Project

In keeping with our promise, Wheelchairs & Walleyes is full steam ahead on the Hazen Bay ADA Wheelchair Ramp, platform lift and disabled persons chair lift on Lake Sakakawea.

We partnered with the Hazen Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Hazen Chamber of Commerce, and the Hazen Parks and Rec in order to make this a blow out event like never seen before. Once this project is completed, Mercer County, ND will be the most inclusive county for individuals with adaptive needs who enjoy lake recreation, boating, and fishing than any other county in the entire north central United States. Quite possibly the entire country!!

On June 21st 2025, Wheelchairs & Walleyes will cut the ribbon to this historic project, and donate it in its entirety, to the community of Hazen, ND and all those who visit this little slice of heaven we all call home. Immediately following the dedication, we will be hosting a children’s charity tournament, and Children’s Mobility Awareness Day festival FREE to all who attend.

Without you and your support, this project will be next to impossible. We urge you to consider supporting this cause. There is no greater satisfaction than giving joy to a child or a loved one with adaptive needs. Please don’t forget to check back often, as we will be giving regular updates. Follow along with us as we change the world one lake at a time.

See you in JUNE!
